Related Organizations

The mission of the Confederation of South Carolina Local Historical Societies, is to serve membership organizations by providing educational programs on history-related topics, to represent with a united voice the historical interests of our State to elected officials, to assist the Department of Archives and History and act as a liaison with member organizations, and to identify and recognize worthwhile projects that preserve, enhance, and promote South Carolina history.

The Palmetto Trust for Historic Preservation is dedicated to preserving and protecting the irreplaceable architectural heritage of South Carolina.

The South Carolina African American Heritage Commission's mission is to identify and promote the preservation of historic sites, structures, buildings and lifeways/culture of the African American experience in South Carolina.
